The managers and HR professionals will have the opportunity to discuss topics like the payment of the salary in case of sickness or accident, data protection and transfer of information abroad, the employee’s and employer’s obligations, wrongful termination, how to obtain a work permit. We offer a practical approach to enable participants to gain specific and up to date knowledge of employment law, international social security and business immigration. Case studies will be discussed, as well as recent case law rendered by Swiss courts. This course is open to all interested persons and prior legal knowlege is not required. It consists of five different modules, which may be attended as a whole, or individually.

Objectives
- To present the basis of employment, immigration and international social security law
- To allow each participant to acquire the knowledge needed to properly understand the rules and regulations and foresee problems that are applicable within these three subject matters, which are essential in the daily management of a company
Target audience
This course is specially intended to SME leaders, their co-workers active in HR, payroll, international assignments, etc. who need to acquire the essential notions of employment, immigration and international social security law.

- An overview of Swiss employment law and examples of real-life application
- An overview of the current immigration law rules and procedures
- A presentation of the rules and specificities regarding international social security together with an update on new EU regulations

Methodology and documentation
The course is presented with practical examples and case studies, on the basis of a documentation provided to the participants in electronic format.
